Where to stay on our last night in Orlando..?

Still debating guys…. those that follow us on our twitter will know that we’ve been umming and aaahing on where to stay the night we return from our Disney Cruise this year…. and this is a long one so be prepared 😂

We return to Port Canaveral on the Friday and hope to be back in Orlando about 11am.

However instead of going straight to the airport like last year we chose to book our flight home for the following day in the hope that Disney may announce a Christmas Party date for that same day… that same night has now officially been announced as a Mickeys Christmas Party night YEY so we are very excited!

The only problem we have is where to stay..?

I initially would’ve booked another DVC but unfortunatly all the studios are sold out so no can do…

I have had in mind to book a value disney resort purely to be around the Disney area so not to have to much a journey back to the hotel particually for the kids when it finishes around midnight but then having been in a value hotel for 10 days straight a matter of days ago i would’ve liked for us to stay somewhere different.

Alex had suggested Art of Animation but for the price to get a room/studio to suit both the kids and that both the kids would like its just silly money in my opinion.

We have also thought about using some Hilton Hhonors points and booking a hotel near to Downtown Disney: again not far from Magic Kingdom and close enough the following morning to use the Virgin Atlantic check in where we can get rid of our bags first thing and go and explore… but then, like the Disney resorts, they cant guarantee an early check in (we want to be at Magic Kingdom for the party at 4pm so would need to check in, drop our bags and freshen up pretty much as soon as we arrive in Orlando).

Now the last option is book a 2 night stay at Rosen Inn Pointe Orlando and tell them we will be late checking in on the first night and pay for a two night stay rather than a one. That way as soon as we arrive in Orlando we can go straight to our room, grab something to eat on International Drive or have a dip in the pool and then go to Magic Kingdom.

I think that would defo be our best option and at £40/night even booking two nights it would certainly be the cheapest.

The following day we can then either leave our bags with the bell services or take them to downtown disney will just see how we feel but that way it will also give us an chance to do some of the old Pirates Crazy Golf that we have dearly missed our last two trips but also we can check out the amazing Orlando Eye that actually opened on our last trip but we missed out on visiting 🙁

So what do you think.. do you agree? Have you ever stayed somewhere more local for a special event by Disney if so where did you choose?

I’m 95% we will head back to Rosen Inn but would be great to hear if you too think this would be our best option.

Speak soon,

Kirsty x

Go for the last option. You will have already spent time in a Disney hotel so the Rosen inn will be a change and looking at your reasons it gives you a better choice of doing everything you want to get done. Xx
