Can you actually believe we are in March? At the end of this month will see the start of probably my favourite season… Spring. But are you prepared? Here are a few things you can do before spring falls to make the most of the best season of the year!

Ways to Prepare for Spring

When is Spring?

Meteorological spring will begin on 01 March 2020 and ends on 31 May 2020 however spring actually doesn’t start until 20 March.

Time to plan for easter

Yes you read right but it will be upon us before we know it. You could even start buying Easter eggs or easter hunt activities/decoration now.. it will save you in the long run if you can start stocking up early. There are tons already in the shops now!

Buy your plants

It’s too late to plant your daffodil bulbs now but not too late to pick up some up from the supermarket on your next trip or even fake it!!

I am rubbish with real plants so when we nipped to IKEA the other week we got stocked up.

Granted not with daffodils but we ended up with a load of foliage for the kitchen. Daffodils are one of the very few things I have no problem in treating myself too when spring comes around so I will have a bunch or two in a vase very very soon!

Spring clean up!

I’m already loving that I can leave the back door open for the dogs & kids to come and go as they please. The fresh air makes me WANT to spring clean so get those windows open, get your music on and have a good old spring clean!

If this weather keeps up, we will be out in the garden sunning ourselves before we know it so be sure to stick jet washing your garden on your to-do list as well!

Let us know what you plan to do on the first day of spring by leaving me a comment below & feel free to pin and save to read again later!

About

I’m Kirsty.  A mother of two (three if you include the hubby!) and I created this blog back in 2016 as a way to make myself accountable for the savings I had to make myself to my day to life after reducing my hours at work.

Childcare costs would’ve meant I was pretty much working for nothing and we refused to pay it!

It is now my mission to help other Mum’s find ways of doing the same & show that you can live within your means without feeling deprived.  The blog will provide you with ways you can make some extra money online, share frugal living tips you can take away and use yourself and encourage you to manage your money correctly!

Luxury doesn’t have to mean buying a Chanel bag or having a Ferrari on your drive but if you budget well, watch your spends, make the right decisions then you just never know… by cutting down or saving on just one element from your life may open other doors to things that you’ve only ever dreamt about!
