There is a lot of talk on experience gifts this year isn’t there! I am all for it personally. My youngest is more than happy with the tons of Barbie dolls she has accrued over the years and my eldest (8) very rarely plays with toys these days. He’s happy reading his books, doing jigsaws and playing on his Dad’s Playstation (when he’s been good!). Experiences aren’t necessarily cheap though are they however in my opinion some are worth every penny!
Today I’m sharing with you ways to save money on experience gifts whether it’s for birthdays, Christmas or christenings there are tons of ways to avoid paying top dollar by collecting memories not things!
Experience Gifts For Families
Use Cashback sites!
If you aren’t already signed up to the cashback sites then you must do it right now.. it’s FREE MONEY!
So if you want to save yourself even more sign up via the links below…. it’s better in your pocket than theirs right??
👉 Top Cashback (at the time of writing new customers get a FREE £5 Amazon gift card using this link)
👉 Quidco (at the time of writing new customers get £10 cashback on first purchase!)
Mini Golf Experience Days
The kids LOVE mini golf.. and so do we! I even headed to a really cool adult version in Liverpool a few months back which was so much fun!
Planet Radio Offers always have golf experiences around the whole country on their site for as little as £5!
Other Family attractions
Planet Radio is one of my favourite sites to be fair.. I check there before I check anywhere!
I got a family ticket for next to nothing to Pink Pig Farm during the summer holidays because they are super flexible too!
Many attractions don’t expire for months and it’s similar to Groupon where you just print of the voucher and show it when you get there.
There are TONS of family and kids activities around the country on there at the minute plus a Nerf party, football training sessions, even Go Karting!
Pantomime & Theatre Tickets
Look for cheap pantomime tickets by going to see a mid week show or even a matinee!
Groupon sometimes have some discounted panto tickets on offer but also depending on where you are wanting to go or what you want to see you can get cheap London show tickets from lastminute.com too!
Official London Theatre have brought back their New Year Sale to encourage you to ‘Get into London Theatre’ with tickets for £10, £20, £30 or £40 to top London shows for performances between 1 January and 13 February 2020 so be sure to check them out too!
Save On London Shows And Experiences
There are so many places to book a cheap London show. Ticket providers are always competing against each other when it comes to West End shows and the like because there are so many so it doesn’t have to be as expensive as you think.
You can even bag yourself 2 for 1 experiences by taking the train to the capital too! Get up to 60% off theatre tickets, dining at The Shard, London Dungeons and even the London Eye!
Spa Breaks
Maybe not one for the children but one that their parents would be so grateful for!
Food and Drink
Eating out can be expensive for a family can’t it? Although I’ve already share with you on here before ways to eat out for cheap, buying a family a meal out is such a nice thought because I know we for one don’t eat out as often as we should as a family.
Experiences For Couples
You could even treat the parents to a rare date night because we all know we are bottom of the pile when it comes to self care and doing things for ourselves!
BuyaGift have tons of food and drink gift ideas from afternoon tea to drink experiences and even a Sushi making workshop!
Will you be buying experiences instead of physical gifts this year? What do you have in mind? Feel free to PIN to read again later!
